Allocation

Where the marks actually are

Roughly 40% biology, 40% chemistry and 20% physics, though ACER does not publish this and it moves between sittings.

Chemistry first

The most learnable forty per cent. Acid–base, equilibrium and organic pattern-recognition come up relentlessly and behave predictably.

Physics second

A fifth of the section, and it terrifies half the cohort. If you have never studied it, avoiding it is the expensive choice: it is the smallest and most formulaic body of content in the exam, and a weekend on kinematics, energy, circuits and half-life closes most of the gap.

Biology by questions

Broader and shallower, which makes it awkward to revise and fairly easy to reason through. Practice questions teach it faster than notes.
